The LEGO Batman Movie: First Full Trailer

Ever since the LEGO Movie hits theaters, I had considered LEGO Batman to be one of the greatest cinematic interpretations of the Batman character.  Then I heard he was getting his own LEGO spinoff movie, and I was quite overjoyed.

Here is the first full and glorious trailer:

My only complaint is there is currently no LEGO Mr. Freeze.  I hope he gets a cameo.

The LEGO Batman Movie hits theaters Feb. 10th, 2017.

Disney Infinity: Cancelled Spider-Gwen Figure

So shortly after the reveal of the cancelled Doctor Strange Disney Infinity figure, we now get news and images of the cancelled Spider-Gwen as well.

Once again, I must say this is awful because the game had so much potential that wasn't being capitalized on.  As amazing as these figures were, the in game content was severely lacking and is, at least I believe, why the sales weren't nearly as good as Disney was hoping.
The situation could be remedied by greatly expanding the in-game content, and- to cut costs- make the figures smaller.  An even $9.99 would be considerably better than the typical $15, especially because the figures had a limited number of resets (2), and could only be used in certain play sets.  Disney Infinity was very constricted in terms of play and ridiculously limited in scope.  But the potential was there.  So much potential wasted.  I mean really, no online play?!?  That is almost a standard in every other game made, so why not here?

A part of me hopes another company swoops in and Disney licenses the game out so we might see more Disney Infinity.  The odds are extremely slim, but at least if some group handled it like Skylanders or the LEGO Dimensions with much larger open worlds, the game would sell much better.

We'll sadly probably never get this wonderful Spider-Gwen for our shelves or game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mega Bloks: Toy Review

THESE TINY TMNT TOYS ARE AMAZING!

I came across these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys a couple months ago and picked a few up on a whim.  They were small, and had really good packaging and design- so I thought, why not?  It turned out that it was a great idea, the blind bag Mega Bloks Ninja Turtles are a bit frustrating, because it's reduced to a marketing ploy to get parents to buy many of them in search of finding the ones their children might want.  But, regardless, these things are super awesome.  Especially the Classic TMNT ones that are in small boxes that allow you to see what you are getting.  Both the versions from the Nickelodeon television show and the ones based on the 80's cartoon are damned cool.  This is exactly the type of Ninja Turtle kind of toy I would've wanted as a kid.

The toy designs are spectacular and the articulation for them is quite impressive for their tiny size.  For the Nickelodeon blind bags I got really lucky and found Michelangelo, Raphael, and a Foot Soldier.  Raph has a spray can and a "Mikey" graffiti tag across the back of his shell and hilarious angry eyes.  These things are amazing and I went searching for more.  I've found some pics of upcoming waves that include Slash and Splinter, but no release date information.  I'm also hoping for a Metal Head at some point soon.

The TMNT Classic Mega Bloks toys are equally impressive.  Tons of articulation, well made weapons, and tremendous paint jobs, they are truly a small version of the classic toys.  In fact they are extremely close to the much larger NECA Classic Collection toys, which were inspired by the original Playmates toy line from the 80's.  Again, I went seraching for more pics of what toys are on the way, and Toy Ark has a ton of stuff.  Including an amazing Technodrome that I noticed has both a cool looking Classic Splinter as well as a bunch of Mousers!

These have brought me back to action figure hunting.  I'll be searching for all the incoming waves like a druggie looking for the next hit.  I like these way more than the LEGO ones for certain.  I want them all!  Even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows ones, as I think the Krang design is pretty neat.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: FREE Ant-Man DLC Pack Available Today!

Back in January Playstation announced a wonderful exclusive for LEGO Marvel's Avengers that included FREE bonus DLC packs for the Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man films exclusively for Playstation.

"Utilizing the ability to shrink in size but increase in strength, Ant-Man (Scott Lang) stars alongside a variety of memorable characters, including Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Cassie Lang, Darren Cross, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, Luis, Scott Lang, The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) and Yellowjacket, along with Ant-Thony (Ant-Man’s Flying Ant). The pack also includes an exciting new theatrical-based level from the blockbuster movie."
The Captain America: Civil War pack was alright with a bunch of extra characters, but the one I've been waiting for is the Ant-Man pack- which is available today!  To make this even sweeter, Scott Lang's best bud Luis will be narrating the adventure- complete with the always amazing Michael Peña doing the voice work for his LEGO counterpart!

Future Season Pass offerings will include Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Masters of Evil.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Announcement Trailer & Thoughts

The Brick Awakens

In a completely unsurprising announcement, Warner Bros. Interactive, TT Interactive, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm announced jointly this morning that LEGO video games are returning to it's foundation with the Star Wars canon with LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be available on June 28.

Honestly, this shouldn't be a shock to anyone.  If ever there was a series to milk for money it's Star Wars.  LEGO sells well, the games always sell well despite the bugs, flaws, and and all the other myriad problems that still haven't been remedied since LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game way back in 2005 ( I think I still have my original copy!).
All their games are fundamentally fun, but the little nagging issues that linger really put a damper on that fun factor.  I mean seriously, they haven't figured out the twin-stick flight is better than the single-stick and two buttons to control the ascent and descent they've been using?!?
Even the most recent release was a bit lackluster, LEGO Marvel's Avengers, which is essentially an updated LEGO Marvel Super Heroes with all the X-Men and awesome other characters cut out.  I'm not kidding, the open world New York City and S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier are pretty much exactly the same as the last game.  It's still fun, and they've improved the flight controls just a little, but the levels are every bit as unclear as ever.  The story jumps all over the place and doesn't follow the movies in any particular order.  Clunky combat and the very wonky object action detection is very frustrating.  There's also some issues with unresponsive controls and a problem (at least on PS4) with preventing players from swapping characters in a level when you absolutely have to do so to proceed that I've encountered numerous times.  In my opinion, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes still stands as a much better game than LEGO Marvel's Avengers, though they are both worth playing for fans.

Other than that LEGO Jurassic World was very fun and I am super excited to play the Ant-Man DLC pack for the Avengers in a few months as well- and of course, being the sucker that I am, I'll be once more coming back to the LEGO Star Wars games with The Force Awakens set in June.

Ghostbusters: Activision has a NEW Game on the Way!

With the release date in only about 6 months time, the reboot Ghostbusters film has now got a full onslaught of marketing goodies for all of us nerds and collectors.

Good News Ray, there's a new game staring right at me.
Over at the Retail Merchandiser Sony has announced a slew of products:
"In the lead off to the movie’s release, Sony Pictures Consumer Products is working to ensure it has items available at every price range, from $9.99 action figures  aimed at children to high-end replica proton packs for adult collectors. Apparel companies such as Hybrid and FAB NY are adapting scenes from the movie into T-shirts and backpacks. IDW is continuing its work on the Ghostbusters comic series while Simon & Schuster is developing a junior novelization and a Guide to Ghostbusting book that will give the franchise a presence in stores like Barnes & Noble."
But for this post in particular, I was drawn to this next part:
"Ghostbusters is also returning to video games. Already, the Ghostbusters sets are on sale for Lego Dimensions, a toys-to-life game featuring the classic building blocks and a new full-fledged Ghostbusters video game from Activision will release alongside the movie on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4."
Most recently there's been the Ghostbusters addition to Lego Dimensions, which is standard Lego game playing fun, there's the mundane Ghostbusters: Puzzle Fighter game, the surprisingly entertaining Little Ghostbusters phone game, the interesting and oddly-fun-yet-still-terrible augmented reality game Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast, and the very under-appreciated Ghostbusters: The Video Game.  That's a game I would very much recommend to any fans of the films, or even of the old 80's cartoon and toys series.  You know what I'd even recommend it to the, like 20 fans of the Extreme Ghostbusters.  I'm not quite sure how they could cram that much 90's into one show, but they managed to do so with a spectacular level of overconfidence.

Anyways, if this new Activision game is even remotely as good as Ghostbusters: The Video Game, the new game will make a killing.  It would be of great note here that Activision has also got another top notch property game in the works with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, and if their previous game Transformers: Devastation is any indication, the new Ghostbusters will likely be a very good game.  It sounds like Activision has finally started to learn to actually listen to what the fans want.

Now, for those of us that remember it, we can only hope that they re-release Ecto Cooler Hi-C drinks.  I drank that stuff by the gallon.

Ghostbusters hits theaters July 22nd, 2016.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: Ant-Man & Civil War DLC Packs

It was recently announced the TT Games upcoming LEGO Marvel's Avengers was going to be receiving 2 DLC packs, adding 2 more films to the 6 film roster the main game was made of (in addition to the massive Marvel Universe related content also there).

The two films will be Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man.  The Civil War pack will be available at the main game's launch on January 26th, and includes 9 characters that are also able to be used in the main game.  There will be Captain America, Iron Man (in the Mark 46 armor), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Crossbones, and Agent 13.

The second DLC, the one I am personally very excited for, is the Ant-Man level pack.  This contains 11 new characters including both Scott Lang and Hank Pym as Ant-Man, Ant-Thony the flying ant, Cassie Lang, Darren Cross, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, Luis, Janet Van Dyne as The Wasp, and Yellowjacket.

At the end of the announcement of this being a Playstation timed exclusive deal, there was a little tidbit extra about a season pass and its contents:
"Keep an eye out for the season pass content that we’ll be bringing your way featuring classic comic content as well as content from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Captain America: Civil War: A LEGO Playset Movie Spoiler?

It looks like one of the upcoming LEGO sets for Captain America: Civil War has a potential spoiler attached to it: Ant-Man as Giant Man.

Personally, I had been hoping Scott Lang would've cranked the dial the opposite direction and fussed with the regulator at the end of Ant-Man so he could get huge and squash Yellow Jacket,I mean they hinted at the giant growth with the garden gnome, Thomas the Train, and the massive ant, but I guess it made much more sense to keep Ant-Man more in the shadows until Civil War hits theaters when they might need an extra edge against a big gun opponent like Vision, a secret weapon of sorts to even the odds.
Granted, this isn't a guarantee, as the Ant-Man movie final battle set had a black-clad Hank Pym Ant-Man suit that wasn't in the film, but the odds have been raised from micro to giant sized potential with this play set.

Captain America: Civil War arrives in theaters May 6th, 2016.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: Open World Trailer

With the newest trailer for LEGO Marvel's Avengers, I see they've taken the best part, of thee best LEGO video game- the open world of New York City from LEGO Marvel Super Heroes- and expanded on it.

Hopefully developer Traveller's Tales have learned from the last few games what they need to fix to make this game stand out as a masterpiece.  I've mentioned in old reviews that the game is becoming better with each new installment, but some the flight controls and continuous plague of bugs and glitches keep holding them back.
Seriously, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes' open world New York City felt densely populated, and extremely fun to explore and play around in, unlike the mostly empty open world of either LEGO The Hobbit, or the open world Middle Earth of LEGO Lord of the Rings.  They had gotten that New York City done nearly to perfection, and it looks like they're bringing that element into the new game's entire level design.  With a few tweaks they might now have a jaw-droppingly perfect LEGO game, but we'll have to wait and see.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers will be available January 26th, 2016.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: New Trailer from NYCC

After the huge launch of LEGO Dimennsions recently, some fans have been eager for an update for the next non-Dimensions related game, LEGO Marvel's Avengers.  We finally get a full trailer from the New York Comic Convention.

The new game features not just scenes and story from The Avengers and Age of Ultron, but will also include LEGO-ized versions of Captain America and its sequel The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, and Iron Man 3.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers will be available January 26th, 2016.

LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles: Review (aka Yoda II)

After playing the turly awful LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles, I had been extremely skeptical about the follow up LEGO Star Wars: The NEW Yoda Chronicles, also known as Yoda II.  Much to my surprise, developers The LEGO Group had taken it in a much better direction.
Gone are the mobile RTS levels and in their place are 3 types of perpetual-runner type levels.  After choosing to side with either Jedi Master Yoda or Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader (the only real differences are cosmetic), players take up missions to collect Holocrons through various falling, running, and flying levels.
The first type is actually the worst of the bunch.  You begin with a character in free fall, and have to avoid various objects in your path, collecting health and holocrons along the way.  The controls for these levels are downright horrendous and irritatingly unresponsive.  Even at their best they are clunky and aggravating.

Next up are the running levels.  Players are hurried along paths on various planets and can shuffle side to side, jump over holes or gaps, and attack enemies and obstacles that appear.  Not a whole lot, but they are short and fun while collecting those plentiful Holocrons.

Lastly, and easily the best and most fun, are the flight levels.  These have players flying around in vehicles in a 3D area shooting enemy ships and collecting the Holocrons that spill out.  The graphics are great, the flight controls can a little restrictive, but also very well done considering this is essentially a pocket-sized space flight simulation.  What surprised me about these levels is how great a delight they were to play.  Honestly, if this game was only the flight levels it may have been a much bigger hit.

In the time I've been playing this, they've added 2 new ship type levels and 4 new character levels.  Just enough to keep players interest going.  LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles is far better than the first game, and is really worth playing just for the space battle levels alone.  The game has great graphics, clean and crisp sound effects, and is an all around decent free game with no pesky ads interfering with your play.  It may not be the best game for replayability, or most imaginative use of either the Star Wars or LEGO video game franchises, but it will afford you an enjoyable way to eat up some nice 5 minute periods of time.

LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles: Review

I have a long history with the LEGO games, I had played the original LEGO Star Wars games as they came out long ago, and have played nearly every released game that has been made since.  In general they are getting progressively bigger and better- albeit with some continuously nagging flaws that still have yet to be addressed.  Somehow, LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles takes all the lessons they've learned over the years and tosses them out the window.
Ackbar is right, this game is a trap.
The first difference from past LEGO games is that The Yoda Chronicles draws inspiration from real time strategy games.  That in itself isn't too awful, it worked relatively well for parts of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and those parts were quite enjoyable.  The issue here is that they've made it so shallow.  You move your team from point to point avoiding fire, eliminating enemies, and trying to either find a person or locate an item.  Occasionally using coins that spill out of destroyed items or enemies to buy ("build") new troopers or vehicles to repeat the process over and over.
There isn't even a discernible difference between choosing either the Jedi or the Sith for the game.  The objectives for either side are pretty much the same and are superficial at best.

The controls are the most cumbersome I've experienced for a mobile game.  You tap a point to move that way, or tap a specific enemy for your character(s) to attack that particular target- all at a pace that makes a snail seem like a speed demon.  Outside of that, there really isn't much else you can do.  The awful camera doesn't help at all either, because there is no way to expand what you're able to see any further than what is on screen, and it really hampers movement when you have to repeatedly tap the screen every couple seconds to move along even a short path.

What the game does have going for it is that it is free.  There is a very small storyline that is decent.  All the brief cutcenes and animations are top notch, as well as the sound design.  And, sadly, that is about it.

LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles is easily the worst LEGO game I've ever played.  The rudimentary parts of a much better game are all here in the most basic ways possible, but they just weren't given room to grow.  There isn't enough depth here to make this game engaging, let alone entertaining.  If they adapted the LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars' RTS segments for a mobile game of its own, it could be wonderful, but The Yoda Chronicles didn't even make a half-assed attempt of it.  Playing with real LEGOs is a far more delightful a task, and one that I would immediately recommend instead of this game.

LEGO Dimensions: Ghostbusters Packs & Adventure Worlds Announcement

LEGO Dimensions has finally given Ghostbusters fans something they've wanted for years, a game.  Not their own video game, but rather a fully open and explorable LEGO Dimensions Adventure World.

The Ghostbusters expansions will include a Peter Venkman World Pack (to unlock the open world) with ECTO-1 and a Ghost Trap, and two Fun Packs, a Slimer and Slime Shooter as well as the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and a Terror Dog.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that there will be 14 Adventure Worlds in total coming for LEGO Dimensions.  Each offering an explorable sandbox area like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes' open city area, which was easily the best part of the game.  The LEGO Dimensions main set will come with 3 unlockable worlds- a DC Comics world through Batman, a Lord of the Rings level through Gandalf, and a LEGO Movie level through Wyldestyle.

     Here's the official description:
"LEGO Dimensions, the upcoming entertainment experience that merges physical LEGO brick building with interactive console gameplay, will include unlockable Adventure Worlds that provide open-world environments for players to explore. Separate from the game’s main story, players will be able to access 14 distinct Adventure Worlds for each entertainment property featured in the game. Every character in LEGO Dimensions has the ability to unlock the corresponding Adventure World of its brand to provide additional gameplay."
LEGO Dimensions will be available Sept. 27th for PS4, PS3, XBox One, XBox 360, and the Nintendo Wii U.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: Another Delay, Release Date, & New Gamescon 2015 Trailer

After being announced earlier this year the TT Games have already pushed the release window back from 3Q 2015 to Winter 2015, and now it's been pushed into early 2016 with a release date of January 26th for North America, and the 29th for Europe.

It's a wonder why a game primarily based on a film now 3 years old , and the sequel which came out months ago, is being delayed so long.  One might also wonder if it's to push sales towards the much more lucrative toys-to-life LEGO Dimensions game coming this September for some heavy Christmas income boosts, as well as a small dig at the Disney Infinity Marvel toys.

Traveller's Tales Games is doing some strange things lately.  My trust in them is waning, especially after announcing that they were not going to finish the 3rd part of LEGO The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies.  This appears to be the beginning of a disappointing trend.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers will be available for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, XBox 360, XBox One, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Windows PC.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers: First Trailer in All Its Tiny Blocky Glory & A Release Delay

Good news for all of us LEGO video game fans, not only will we have the LEGO Jurassic World in just a few days (June 12), we will be getting LEGO Marvel's Avengers later this year, as well as the massive toys-to-life Lego Dimensions game this December.

Today we get the first trailer for the Avengers game:

Considering Marvel's Avengers film came out 3 years ago, it seems a bit odd that with the first LEGO Avengers trailer also adds a release date delay from this fall to this winter, making it a full 3 and a half years after the film came out to be a tie in.  I mean seriously LEGO Marvel Super Heroes came out in October 2013, and it was an amazing game with all the Avengers- so why backtrack and follow what appears to be the movie from 3 years ago?  Sure, there is a nice flash of Ultron at the end, hinting at the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie being lumped into the game as well, but still- why did it take so damn long?

Which makes me wonder, is TT Games hiding something?  Maybe a tie-in to the upcoming Ant-Man?  Or, very, very unlikely, the Guardians of the Galaxy?

Either way, I'll be playing this and probably enjoying the hell out of it as well.

Lego Dimensions Extended Trailer, Thoughts, and a Ghostbusters Pack Hint

Warner Bros have officially announced their take on the videogame/toy crossover collectibles to compete with the Amiibos, Skylanders, and Disney Infinity.  I have to admit, the trailer is brilliant and they are mining some of their already firmly established properties quite well.
Joel McHale immediately got my attention, and I noticed Gandalf and Batman are voiced not by the Lego actors- but by the sounds of it- Ian McKellan and Kevin Conroy respectively.  I could be wrong, but that's what they sound like.

There are already a slew of other packs and sets listed that will be available, as seen glimpsed through the trailer above such as:
  • Back to the Future levels with a Marty McFly minifig
  • Ninjago team pack with Kai and Cole figures
  • Ninjago fun packs with Jay, Nya, and Zane figures
  • DC fun packs with Wonder Woman and Cyborg
  • Lord of the Rings fun packs with Gollum, Gimli, and Legolas
  • The Lego Movie fun pack with Emmet, Bad Cop, Benny, and Unikitty
  • The Wizard of Oz fun pack with Wicked Witch of the West
This has got me very intrigued, but alas, I've noticed they already missed out on 3 distinct Lego properties that would have me 100% on board- Lego Star Wars, Lego Marvel, and Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Maybe the property rights just aren't there, or conflict as may be the case with DC and Marvel?  I just don't know.  I do know that they are monstrously popular on their own as toy sets, so it would be a gold mine waiting to be plundered in the Lego Dimensions realm.

Is this a hint for a future Ghostbusters level or fun pack?
What does catch my eye is this possible hint to a potential Ghostbusters pack when Joel McHale uses the PKE Meter to scan the Lego Portal (See picture above).  We've already seen that they have a 30th Anniversary Lego Ghostbusters ECTO-1 pack available for order on the official Lego website, so will they be included in a future game set as well?  They did show a tornado clip from The Wizard of Oz, then included a pack for that...

The only downside is the high cost of the starter pack, which Toys 'R' Us has listed at a whopping $99.99- the set includes the Lego Dimensions game, the portal Gateway base, and playable Gandalf, Batman & Batmobile, and Wyldstyle from the Lego Movie.

Lego Dimensions is being developed by Travellers Tales and will be launched on September 27 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Lego Jurassic World: First Full Trailer

In addition to the less-than-great other Lego video game (The Hobbit) news today, at least we get a full trailer for the Lego Jurassic World game.  Despite my disappointment at the Lego Hobbit news, this Lego Jurassic World trailer still has got me almost as excited as I was to see Jurassic Park when I was 13.

They've relied heavily on scenes from the first film, Jurassic Park, here instead of including ties to the upcoming Jurassic World.  But, then again, maybe they'll start bringing in some recognizable pieces of that film the closer to release it gets to avoid potential spoilers, as that movie will be a full quarter of the game.  The first 3 films will comprise the rest- Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, and Jurassic Park 3.
It's also been let out that players get to play as humans, dinosaurs, and hilariously Mr. DNA.  Which serves as a segue into the building feature- allowing for customization of dinosaur DNA for making new dinosaurs out of pre-existing parts- they've added a build-a-dino to the game!
Traveller's Tales Games looks to have brought their brick-based touch from the prehistoric era right into the park.

Lego Jurassic World is set to release in June for:
PS3, PS4, Ps Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, and the 3DS.

Lego Hobbit: WB Leaves Players Hanging Without The Battle of Five Armies DLC, "There, but NOT back again."

In another case of unfinished games, Warner Bros have cancelled the end of Lego The Hobbit.  Players take up the role of Bilbo Baggins, we get to go "There," and in news today, we find we will no longer be coming "Back Again."

There, but not back again...

     The Warner Bros.' Statement:
"The LEGO The Hobbit videogame gives LEGO and Middle-earth fans a fun, new way to experience the legendary adventures of Bilbo and company as told in the first two films of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. The game provides an excellent set-up for the concluding chapter of Peter Jackson’s film, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. There are no plans to develop DLC based on the final film of the trilogy."
WB have also stated they have NO plans for another game based on the film.  So apparently, Lego Hobbit purchasers have been slightly deceived.  We were led to believe that the concluding chapter would become available at a later date so the story would be complete- alas, we now know that it won't happen- leaving us with essentially only two-thirds of the game we thought we would have been buying.

It is really disturbing to me that now we have WB and Traveller's Tales Games leaving things incomplete and selling us essentially an unfinished product.  What we instead get is a playable trailer and set up to watch the third film.  This is a poor trend in gaming, the selling of parts instead of a whole product.  What a frustrating thought.
Funnily enough, I still haven't opened my copy because I was waiting for the 3rd part to arrive as they had mentioned at the London Toy Fair in January 2014.  This has also made me hesitant to purchase their upcoming titles Lego Marvel's Avengers and Lego Jurassic World.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Announcement Trailer

Traveller's Tales Games have released their newest Lego game trailer with the 3rd in the DC Comics Batman series, which should rightly be called DC Heroes now.  True to form, it's got the story and graphics with a bit of humor.  Hopefully they've fixed some of the control issues that have plagued Lego games in the past.

     Here's the official description:
The best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise returns in an out-of-this-world, action-packed adventure! In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it's too late.
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be available this fall for the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U,  3DS,  and PC.
