Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge: Reveal trailer & Thoughts

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have had a long history in video games from the lowest of the lows (the damn level in the original NES game) to the highest of highs (TMNT for the GBA), with plenty in between.  But the publisher of the glorious Streets of Rage 4 (Dotemu) has come through again with something players have been asking for- a new beat em' up Turtles game- with developer Tribute Games.  This is truly something to celebrate for fans of the TMNT, an actual sequel to one of the franchise's most beloved games three decades in the making!  Cowabunga dudes!

     According to the official reveal:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge reunites Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello to kick shell in a beautifully realized pixel art world invoking the turtles’ classic 1987 design.

With Bebop and Rocksteady amassing gizmos to support Krang and Shredder’s latest scheme, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge finds the turtles battling through a breathless tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses’ most diabolical plan yet. Armed with shell-shocking new abilities built on a foundation of classic brawling mechanics, the gang are in for an exhilarating, Foot Clan-stomping romp leading them through the sewers and bustling boroughs of New York City all the way to Dimension X.
Honestly, I haven't been this excited for a game since Streets of Rage 4, and now we're getting something we've been asking for for literal years.  The developers haven't given out too much information yet, but it appears there may be more playable characters in the future as I spotted both Splinter and April in action in the trailer- and we can only hope that there'll be plenty more to come in the future!  This is definitely a game to keep our eyes on for fans.

I'll be covering this game religiously in the future.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
will be coming to PC [ Steam ] and consoles (though no release date is specified).

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Voice Cast Announced & Worrisome Changes

THE CAST

Yesterday, Nickelodeon announced the voice cast for their upcoming 26 episode 2D re-imagining of the TMNT series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The cast all sounds pretty good so far.  We'll be getting Omar Miller as Raphael, Ben Schwartz as Leonardo, Josh Brener as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith as Michelangelo, Kat Graham as April O’Neil, and lastly TMNT vet Eric Bauza as Splinter.  I'm particularly pumped for Brandon Mychal Smith's Michelangelo, and curious to hear Bauza as Splinter after he voiced Nickelodeon's current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Tiger Claw.

And with the cast comes the official plot summary:
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo on all-new adventures as they seek to unlock the mystical secrets of New York City. From the tallest skyscraper to the dankest sewer drain, the Turtles will encounter absurd new mutants and battle bizarre creatures all while enjoying their favorite slice of pizza.
Tapping into mystic, ninja powers they never knew existed, the four brothers must learn to work together and navigate the perils of the modern age and hidden realms in order to fulfill their destiny to become a team of heroes.
THE WORRISOME CHANGES

Now comes the parts that worry me.  With the re-imagining of the Turtles, comes the changes.  With all iterations some changes can be great, and there shouldn't really be problems with those, but there are always some that don't really quite make sense.  Such is the case with the fact they are seemingly altering a piece of the brothers' foundation of their relationships. That part is a little irksome to say the least.
While Michelangelo, Donatello, Splinter, and April all remain in their archetypal roles, Leonardo and Raphael are apparently being swapped which makes little sense.
From Nickelodeon's source article, they say, "Raphael, as the oldest and physically biggest brother, he is now the leader and his enthusiasm and bravado puts him front and center for most of their bizarre adventures; Leonardo, the self-professed ‘coolest’ brother possesses irreverent charm and a rebel heart."
What bothers me is the fact that Nickelodeon is completely changing the foundation of these two.  Since the beginning, I've always seen all four brothers as representing very distinct archetypes, and with the alteration of two, that changes the team's entire dynamic.  Raph has been the fire of passionate emotion, Leo was the more level-headed water, constantly flowing and seeking a true balance, Don was the stable Earthly, logical mind, Mikey is the airy heart, wild and free- and Splinter connected them all as the spiritual core.
Think of how these fundamental character principles effect the group's relationships- and for a great reference, look at how Avatar: The Last Airbender uses the same core ideas with their own characters as elemental Benders.  This shift will put the emotion in the role of leader instead of the less turbulent flowing of water and that goes against, not just the TMNT's own history and precedent, but flies in the face of mythological/archetypal basis- Raph's pure emotion shouldn't rule, in the same way that Mikey's heart or Donatello's pure logic shouldn't lead the team.  It'd be the equivalent of having an instinctually Id driven person, without the guidance of the Super Ego (Leo), balancing the pure unconscious (Mike), Id (Raph), and rational Ego (Don).  This is something that will eat at the back of my mind for a while, and is definitely something more for me to ruminate on to possibly flesh out more and explain better.

As a lifelong Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but I'm going to be very, VERY skeptical going in to the show.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to premiere in 2018 on Nickelodeon.

TMNT: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Return to Arcades with a WHOLE NEW GAME!!!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have had a long history in video games, loaded with many ups and downs, with occasional oddball gems that really stands out.  In recent years there's been some decent attempts to regain that special something that the old arcade quarter-munchers had and the home ones did not.  It's been nearly 30 years since Konami's original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game first hit arcades and Raw Thrills, Inc is looking to bring back those beat 'em up glory days with an all new adventure featuring our favorite heroes in a half shell.

Modern arcade game developer Raw Thrills has been hard at work on reviving an old fan-favorite arcade genre staple in the form of a brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brawler beat 'em up, and hopefully proving to us that there are still turtles games to look forward to.  This completely original TMNT game is based on the look of the extremely popular Nickelodeon cartoon, which will be finishing up season 5 in November.
"This new version of TMNT is a completely new re-imagining of the brawler concept. There are more moves, more environmental interaction, cool Turtle Power special attacks, voiceover from the entire cast (including Seth Green and others)… it’s really amazing."
Many fans will be quite excited to have this TMNT nostalgia returning to the coin-operated gaming for the first time in decades, and Raw Thrills, Inc plans to have a demo at this year’s International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions expo in November.

This could possibly be the game I've been asking for for years, in my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows game review I wrote:
"I think a bigger and better studio may have been able to truly pull off an open-world 4 player co-op beat-em-up much better than this- a game to match the ambition this one so desperately strove for.  We just haven't found the right company to do it justice yet.  Maybe Activision can find a group to do it with the Nickelodeon series on a larger scale.
As a lifelong fan since I was about 5 years old, that is what I would want.  A huge action RPG brawler, maybe even a hack-n-slash, in a fully open world of Manhattan, complete with sewer system.  The world should be as large as any of the GTA games by Rockstar, and it should be filled with plenty of baddies and mini-missions.  Take note Activision- Traveller's Tales' Lego Marvel Superheroes did it right with the large cityscape full of fun mayhem to be had with a couple hundred characters to swap around.  Copy that and improve on it."
Now, I know Raw Thrills' game won't be expansive enough to encompass a huge open world for a beat 'em up, but the mere fact they are returning to the roots of TMNT gaming is a wonderful thing.  I'd even consider the fact that they may steal the crown for best turtles game which I personally believe to be 2007's TMNT for the Nintendo GBA.  This could be the start fans of the franchise have been waiting for to point the following games towards what we've been wanting for years.

I can't wait to play this at an arcade cabinet soon. And pray to the reptilian gods that this game may find a port to home consoles or mobile devices.

Mega Bloks (Construx): Masters of the Universe Skeletor: Micro Review

It's been quite a while since I've found some cool toys since Wave 2 of the Mega Bloks (now Mega Construx) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mini figures, and today I came across an awesome new one- a tiny Masters of the Universe Skeletor.

When I first came across the initial bunch of TMNT Mega Bloks figures I was immediately taken with how well done they were, wave 2 pushed that impressiveness even further.  Then the toys were set back a little with the TMNT: Out of the Shadows film tie-ins, then they knocked it out of the park with the black and white Mirage Comics figures- they were downright spectacular!

Once again, Mega Construx has done a fantastic job in making an absurdly tiny and somehow still manage to have a ton of articulation.  This is a tremendous new mini figure that is great for collectors and fans.  It's well painted, well sculpted, and articulated- these things are just plain amazing little figures.  I only hope they will produce more than only He-Man and Skeletor, currently the only 2 available for the Masters of the Universe line.  I'd really like to see Tri-Klops, Stinkor, Man-at-Arms, or any of the vast array of characters from the comics or show.
I'll definitely pick up more as they come, but right now, this Skeletor is a perfect introduction to the set, and I can only hope for more to come.

I've also seen they've released 2 figures from Star Trek: The Next Generation and 2 from Aliens.  In reality, they could make a plethora of great figures for those series' as well- paving more paths for cool new figures now that the TMNT lines are becoming stale.  I'm not kidding, there's a wealth of characters to choose from but they go with ones nobody wants, or more simple repaints/variants of the core turtles for each new wave comprising a full 50% of each new wave.  Mix it up a little Mega Construx!  People will buy the awesome figures when they aren't making the same mistake the old Playmates line made, no one wants the football Leonardo, or an Army fatigues Donatello, we'd rather have a cool Metalhead or Chrome Dome than the infinite number of variants.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: A 3rd Film Probably Won't Happen

As a long time fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I both like and dislike the newer Michael Bay produced films.  The 2014 TMNT made a whopping $493 million, while the sequel TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows only grossed $245 million.

Steve Weintraub at Collider brought up the thoughts on the future of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller during an interview about their recently produced film Ouija: Origin of Evil.

Form has some good thoughts on what didn't work.
"We were obviously surprised at the box office results. We loved the movie. We loved making the movie. From our first Super Bowl teaser to everything we launched, we felt so good about our material, and for some reason it did not find the audience that the first movie found.
It’s just one of those things where we feel like we made a great movie. We thought at the time that our release date was great, and we added all these new characters with Bebop and Rocksteady and Krang, and Baxter Stockman had a big role in the movie, and Casey Jones, and for some reason when it came to opening weekend… it just didn’t find an audience. We really don’t know why.
I think one thing we did learn is you really need to give- you can’t just add characters to a movie and expect that to be what’s fresh. It’s a sequel. You have to give the audience something that’s really new and fresh. Maybe just adding characters from the canon- that wasn’t enough.
We set out to make a poppy, colorful, fun- add all these fun characters that people had grown up with—and like you said, bring the cartoon to life.
I don’t think there’s [going to be a] Turtles 3, but I wouldn’t say there’s never going to be another Turtles movie."
I like the idea that they tried to bring the old cartoon to life, but they missed the essential change that the 1990 feature film did- they made it real and meaningful, while maintaining the feel the old cartoon had.  I fully admit I do enjoy the new films, despite the many, many problems contained in them.  As for Out of the Shadows, they really did bring an episode of the 80's cartoon to life.  Everything from the humorous idiocy of Bebop and Rocksteady to the absurd nature of Krang.  It is something worthwhile to watch for those that might have some turtles nostalgia, and they did build off of what the first reboot did.

It does make me a bit disappointed to know there may not be another film, but then again, there's always a chance they'd get even worse.  I mean you can tell the writers weren't the best, resorting to making everything about action and cheap laughs.  It completely lacks the depth of the 1990 film.  I really think the problem comes down to the writers, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec just don't quite understand the characters.  It's all superficially written, with many of the characters sounding to similar.  They need some true distinctions between them all, they need more "show, don't tell" to really hammer home the differences.

If a third film does get into production I can only hope that they find writers worthy of continuing the TMNT legacy.  Maybe they should get Bobby Herbeck and Todd W. Langen from the 1990 movie, or the unbelievably brilliant writers of the made-for-TV 25th Anniversary movie - Turtles Forever - Roy Burdine, Rob David, Matthew Dredk, and Lloyd Goldfine.  That is easily the most well-written Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product of any sort I can think of.  The team had a fundamental understanding of not just the characters, but how they've evolved and changed over time, and getting them to work on a full film would be the most brilliant move that these producers could take.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mega Bloks Wave 2: Tiny Toy Review

Back in February 2015 Mattel and Nickelodeon announced some changes in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles licensing.  LEGO had dropped the license and the toys began anew with MEGA Bloks.  Really, I wasn't ever impressed with the LEGO TMNT anyway, although it was a disappointment we never got a video game along the lines of size and quality of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

I first came across these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles MEGA Bloks earlier this year, and have been consistently impressed them.  The first series was great- high quality look, materials, and designs.  Tons of posability and sheer fun factor.  They were exactly the kind of TMNT toys I would've wanted as a kid.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows film figures were slightly less amazing.  As they felt like a cheaper plastic, and the realistic look didn't come across nearly as well as the Nickelodeon cartoon based figures' appearances did.  Overall they're still great little figures, it's just the cartoon waves are better.
Then I got, but haven't reviewed, the Classic line and the Mirage Comics based Eastman and Laird black and white toys.  Both lines are downright superb.  They got right back to the great plastics, great sculpts, and tremendous coloring and articulation of the first series.  These toys are better than either the Playmates line or the Minimates toys.

Now I got ahold of the series (wave) 2 of the Nickelodeon figures and they are equally amazing.  MEGA Bloks have maintained a level of craftsmanship that makes me quite grateful that LEGO isn't the one making these little toys any more.  The Slash figure is awesome, the translucent purple Donnie is neat, and the Mouser 3 pack is an ingenious use of micro-figures.  My only complaint about this wave is Splinter's lower half is a bit awkward being one chunk instead of legs- but that's a small nitpick.  They did, however, make it so you could pose the chunk.

In future waves they could definitely use a few extra non-main-turtles figures as well.  Each wave has kept all 4 turtles with 4 other figures, one of which is the "secret" figure.  Series (wave) 3 is already being spotted in places and it has, once again, all 4 turtles in their new variants, as well as another foot soldier variant, April O'Neil, and Leatherhead- with a Triceraton as the secret figure.  Where's Metal Head, Mutagen Man (Pulverizer), or The Fugitoid?  We need more variety in each wave.  And less blind bags.  I've never been a fan of blind bag marketing because it really seems like a cheap sales tactic.

Anyways, as long as they keep making these I'll keep buying them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows: Mega Bloks: A Tiny Toy Review

It's been a while since I bought these back in early June, and even longer since I reviewed the initial wave of Mega Bloks Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (based on the Nickelodeon show), but because wave 2 just hit the shelves and the TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows film hits DVD on Sept. 20th (although it's already digitally available) I figured I should get this short review out.

As with the original wave of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mega Bloks toys, these things are great.  They look good and are super poseable with a ton of articulation.  They don't quite match the absurdly high quality of product of the first wave of toys.  These feel like a slightly cheaper plastic and the colors appear to be slightly "off."  It could be an attempt to make it closer to the film, but it still looks a touch off from the high quality of the Nickelodeon based figures.  Overall though, they are still tremendous tiny action figures.

Honestly, if you liked the first wave, or enjoy the films even a little bit, you may appreciate these figures.  They're small, made well, and still maintain the Mega Bloks quality.  I truly like these much, much, MUCH better than the larger Playmates toy series' based on the movies, television show, and even their re-issues of the classic action figures from the 80's- but these toys are not quite as cool as the Kaiyodo Revoltech TMNT figures.

These TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows movie figures have the added benefit of knowing which figure you are buying as well.  That's a huge plus for me.  Sure, I like the idea of blind packs, but it's a huge annoyance to continually not get the figures you want.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan Launches Today!

Platinum Games' highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is out today, and they've put out a great launch trailer to go with it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan has got to be a better game than TMNT: Out of the Shadows, and if Transformers: Devastation was any indication, it'll be fun as shell.  Here, we get an art style influenced greatly by the IDW comics series, and a whole lot of 4-player online co-op play.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows: First Look at Krang

The most recent tv spot for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows finally reveals the Dimension X villain in all its creepy and disgusting pink gloriousness.  Krang has arrived.

"Let me get this straight, we gotta robot samurai, two mutants, and whatever that thing is."

This is the first we get to see Krang outside his humanoid suit, and he's every bit as creepy as expected.  I really like the suit's design as well, which we've seen in previous trailers and in toys.  Plus, the Technodrome itself looks pretty badass!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mega Bloks: Toy Review

THESE TINY TMNT TOYS ARE AMAZING!

I came across these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys a couple months ago and picked a few up on a whim.  They were small, and had really good packaging and design- so I thought, why not?  It turned out that it was a great idea, the blind bag Mega Bloks Ninja Turtles are a bit frustrating, because it's reduced to a marketing ploy to get parents to buy many of them in search of finding the ones their children might want.  But, regardless, these things are super awesome.  Especially the Classic TMNT ones that are in small boxes that allow you to see what you are getting.  Both the versions from the Nickelodeon television show and the ones based on the 80's cartoon are damned cool.  This is exactly the type of Ninja Turtle kind of toy I would've wanted as a kid.

The toy designs are spectacular and the articulation for them is quite impressive for their tiny size.  For the Nickelodeon blind bags I got really lucky and found Michelangelo, Raphael, and a Foot Soldier.  Raph has a spray can and a "Mikey" graffiti tag across the back of his shell and hilarious angry eyes.  These things are amazing and I went searching for more.  I've found some pics of upcoming waves that include Slash and Splinter, but no release date information.  I'm also hoping for a Metal Head at some point soon.

The TMNT Classic Mega Bloks toys are equally impressive.  Tons of articulation, well made weapons, and tremendous paint jobs, they are truly a small version of the classic toys.  In fact they are extremely close to the much larger NECA Classic Collection toys, which were inspired by the original Playmates toy line from the 80's.  Again, I went seraching for more pics of what toys are on the way, and Toy Ark has a ton of stuff.  Including an amazing Technodrome that I noticed has both a cool looking Classic Splinter as well as a bunch of Mousers!

These have brought me back to action figure hunting.  I'll be searching for all the incoming waves like a druggie looking for the next hit.  I like these way more than the LEGO ones for certain.  I want them all!  Even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows ones, as I think the Krang design is pretty neat.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (2016): Out of the Shadows: NEW Trailer

Another new trailer just dropped for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows film and it features mostly a bunch of Michelangelo's humor and he gives a quick introduction to each of the TMNT themselves.

It looks overly action oriented, but it'll probably have plenty of great moments shining through the absurdity.  I don't mind, I'll be seeing it and enjoying it regardless- and I'm really intrigued by the Kraang and Technodrome designs.  It is slightly more intriguing that Fred Armisen is voicing the Dimension X native.

Transformers: Robots in Disguise: Warrior Class Grimlock Toy

It's been almost 2 years since my last post on any non-videogame related toys.  The last one was about Bebop and Rocksteady action figures for the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television show.  Anyways, I was out picking up some household essentials and of course I HAVE to swing through the toys section, and I came across this gem.

The new Transformers: Robots in Disguise Grimlock is kind of awesome.  He's based on the designs of the 2015 Cartoon Network show and it follows the look quite well.  He's got decent articulation and a nice color scheme that is much better than the original clunky look from back in the 1980's, but not nearly as complex as the Transformers: Age of Extinction version.

I really like the look of this new version of the old Dinobot, well done Hasbro, you've successfully caught my eye for the new series because a an action figure.  It's cool that there's enough of the original in there for old fans, as well as a neat update for the current generation of kids.
It's much better than what was done do my favorite Decepticon Soundwave in the Transformers: Generations toys.  His robot look was great, but he transformed into a battle van.  What the heck?!?  He should be a stealth spy drone (as he is in Robots in Disguise) character with a focus on infiltration, subterfuge, and intelligence gathering.  Even the ridiculous movie version (from the films Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon) had a better idea with the satellite, although they really blew it with his iconic voice being altered.

One last thing, I definitely have to acknowledge the fact that Grimlock's "Beast Mode" looks a hell of a lot like the 1998 film incarnation of Godzilla with the thick lower jaw.  I mean seriously- look at it!  There's got to be some sort of connection or inspiration linking the two designs.

As a little extra, here's the Transformers: Robots in Disguise intro video for Grimlock:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: Cosmetic Pre-Order DLC

Platinum Games, Nickelodeon, and Activision announced this morning that the highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will have two separate cosmetic pre-order bonus DLCs to choose from.

Pre-ordering from Gamestop will get you a set of "Rock N Roll" costumes for each of the Turtles, while pre-ordering from the Playstation Store, Xbox Store, or Steam will get you the "Samurai" skins.  By the sounds of it, this could open the way for a ton of extra DLC costumes and potential add on content (I'm crossing my fingers for additional playable characters like Metal Head or Slash!) for all of us TMNT fans.

While I'm not too impressed with my Gamestop pre-order bonus' costumes, the Samurai skins are pretty damn cool.  I hope these become separately purchasable at a later date.  Or, of course, have a larger selection of alternatives to choose from or buy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: NEW Boss Battle Trailer & Launch Date!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Crossover with Their 1980's Versions in "Trans-Dimensional Turtles"

On March 27th Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be meeting their earlier 1980's animated counterparts in both the 2D and 3D realms in an episode titled "Trans-Dimensional Turtles."

In this episode the two teams work together to defeat the combined villainy of the 1980's animated Krang who is working with the modern Kraang Sub-Prime

In an event that appears to be very much like the amazing multi-part 25th anniversary/2009 season finale TMNT Forever in which the Turtles from various dimensions and iterations crossover to battle Krangs.  They are even keeping with the altered art styles (the old 2D animation and the more modern 3D animation) for each of the Turtles as they travel between times.  It's reported that TMNT creator Kevin Eastman's Mirage Studios Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series will be appearing as well- just like in TMNT Forever.

The 1980's Turtles themselves will be voiced by the original cast, as well as Krang's original voice actor Pat Fraley.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: Official Trailer

After the Platinum Games announcement tweet this morning saying that they'd release a full trailer tomorrow for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan game that has been known about for a while, but never officially confirmed, Platinum Games' leak streak was once again topped, and the trailer was leaked.
In response Activision took the upper hand and simply released the trailer via their youtube channel.  Well played Activision, well played.

After speculation has been high, this game looks every bit as awesome as I was hoping for.  We may have ourselves a true heir to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game franchise worthy of our time.  I mean the last one I was genuinely impressed with was the Game Boy Advance's TMNT movie tie-in.  I'm not kidding, it was an unbelievably well done game.  All the other versions of the tie-in were terrible, but somehow the GBA version was spectacular.

Anyways, the only way I could be more excited about this is if it supports 4 player online co-op, and offers more unlockable/playable characters than just the four Turtles themselves.  I want to play as Metal Head, Splinter, Slash, or even as April O'Neil.  We need some options!

TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan is set to arrive in "Summer 2016."  (Presumably in time for the sequel to the 2014 film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which arrives in theaters June 3rd.)

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have needed a proper video game treatment for years, and they may finally be getting one with Platinum's Mutants in Manhattan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: Platinum Games' TMNT Screenshots

First we got a ratings leak, then a cover art leak, then we got an achievements leak, now we finally get some actual screenshots leaked for Platinum Games' upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.  The game still hasn't even been officially announced by either Activision or Platinum, but I can officially say it looks amazing.

This looks to be the exact type of game I have been waiting for- a cel-shaded open world brawl-filled possible multiplayer funfest.  If this game is anything near as good as Transformers: Devastation, it'll be something that might renew our hopes for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game franchise.

This is probably the best looking, and yet completely unconfirmed game I've seen ever.
